Two: The Turtledove
These tortoise-like birds lead a medium-quick life, how they bill and coo like a pulse-quickening female kittens. They’re born bigger than their parents in a nest that can barely contain them, as they fall out, and then it’s either: fly, die, or perch for a while on the fire escape before taking the plunge, eventually growing leaner as they age, ever cooing to the dawning day. Are they the same birds or does the life span of their nest exceed them?
Turtledoves, we’ll come back to you. Now let’s welcome to the stage: Peter Dizozza
introduced at the OJ All-Day Fest by Lydia Ooghe.
