Doctor of Biology, famed obstetrician, teacher, collector of medical specimens in formaldehyde jars, Dr. Fricassee leads his patron, Charlotte, toward skin grafting, a'la Dr. X. She's been writing in her journal about this. Her husband died before she could divorce him, leaving her everything. Her son is in college. It is a happy enterprise paving a path toward her new life.
